I bridge the gap between Conventional Healthcare and Holistic Approaches to health

I am a Nurse and a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. The two areas give me the expertise to understand the conventional world of medicine with the ability to bring in other modalities based in time-tested ancient traditions.

I am also a cancer survivor. I know what it's like to be a patient navigating the healthcare system.

Living with a health issue can be challenging and discouraging.

There is also sometimes confusion on what the right thing to do is.

Truthfully there is not always one right answer, but rather it's about what is the right answer for you at a given moment in time.

Perhaps  you have already been through the medical system.

Maybe you are on a long list of medications and still don't feel great.

Maybe you're just confused about what to eat and all the different diets out there.

Let's work together and review your current health concerns, your goals, your past health history.  This is where my expertise as both a nurse and a certfied nutritional practitioner comes in.

Detoxification

Before I became a Holistic Nutritionist, I didn't really understand the importance of detoxification.

What are toxins exactly? Basically they are anything outside of our natural state that can cause harmful effects to our health. Toxins can also be emotional and psychological in nature.

By the time we reach a certain age, all of us have been exposed to a multitude of toxins.

There are many ways to approach detoxification. I work with you to come up with the ways that are right for you.

Diet and Nutritional Support

The food we eat allows are bodies to function optimally.

It's like building a house. Good quality bricks make for a strong and sturdy house. Nutrient-dense foods help our bodies build and stay resilience.

Food is also a personal experience. No two people have the same experience or relationship with food.

As a nutritionist, I take all of these factors into consideration when I work with my clients.

Life Habits

I work with my clients to look at their lifestyle patterns and choices.

I inquire about your quantity and quality of sleep. There is so much about the quality of our sleep that impacts our health.

We also look at mindful eating practices such as sitting down to eat. Chewing our food.

Everyone's level of physical movement is also so different. What ways do you move your body everyday? How are you nurturing your mind with the things you watch and listen to?

There are so many ways we can work together to help you make choices that will help you feel better overall.
